Sadly, it was shared the cat who ran the town of Talkeetna, Alaska for some twenty years, passed away in the early morning of July 21.

Jim Hershberger has 22 cats and lives 350 miles from town. So every few years he drives 700 miles round-trip to Anchorage and takes all 22 kitties along to get their rabies shots while he runs errands.
Ninja needed help and the only vet clinic that would see him without getting money up front was on the other side of an avalanche that blocked the road. His petmom and her partner were arrested for entering the avalanche zone but their determination saved Ninja’s life.
