Everybody loves, Leela, whose charm and love of life get her kicked out of restaurants on a daily basis.  After a busy day of inspection, she heads back home to Mindy Crandall.

Mindy appreciates that Leela has wanderlust and recently employed a GPS monitor on her collar to keep sights on her excursions.  She stated to WDAM that Leela always finds her way home for dinner, sometimes staying and sometimes heading on over to the Top Room for a nightcap and socilization.

The people of Orono, ME, love her to the point where Ampersand, typically her first visit of the morning, doesn’t see any value to escorting Leela from the premises, citing that they would probably be the recipient of a boycott from people who love seeing her there and around town.

Leela, who was adopted from the Bangor Humane Society in 2014, is so beloved, she has her own Facebook page and in this day and age, it may just mean that the cat has truly come into her own.

  1. I have an Abby named Cecil who visits our neighbors, He sneaks into their houses and loves to hide in their kitchen cupboards. He loves other cats and many times stays for dinner.
