Cats are notorious for winding up in some of the strangest places. Perhaps it has to do with comfort. Although we might find it horribly awkward to slide ourselves into a plastic container that was most likely created with juice in mind, some seem quite happy and content with their location of choice. Cats, with their incredibly flexible spines seem to be able to squeeze into some of the most peculiar places.
Underneath something, anything, is also popular, although occasionally the placement of the activity, or rather inactivity, it not always stellar. Rugs in busy thoroughfares are not recommended unless the humans involved are highly observant. The tail, however, is usually a dead giveaway as most rugs do not come equipped with tails.
All of that said and done, there are times when cats need the assistance of humans to relieve themselves of their predicament. Such as the little ginger kitty who got caught up in a car spring and, thankfully, was ever-so-gently removed by a team of men who were only too happy to try and figure the puzzle out while regarding the cat’s safety.
Cats hide for a variety of reasons, so if your cat’s antics seem out of place, for example they seem less active and not quite ‘themselves,’ take a quick peek to make sure they are healthy and in good spirits for their individual personality.
Still, it’s two paws up for the creativity of cats. They never cease to amaze. Or is it amuse?
