Cats, as we can all agree, are amazing. Arguably, one of their most traits, one most of us humans would love to be able to manifest, is the ability to sleep just about anytime and anywhere. In today’s fast-paced society, that is assuredly enviable.
Cats sleep between 16 and 20 hours a day, doing so to conserve energy. Perhaps that should be expanded upon a bit to day so as to conserve energy so they can go full throttle at 3am. Experts even say that cats dream, as well as go into the REM phase of sleep, but can become alert at a moment’s notice. Suffice to say, for cats, sleep is definitely not overrated and there may be a lesson or two in how to take a break wherever you may be.
