A Natick, MA firefighter brought Ruth Linscott’s cat out of her burning home and reunited the two when a fire made the residence uninhabitable on Tuesday, September 10, 2013.

Firefighter Ciro Sansossio found the cat upstairs as other crew members fought the fire, then brought the pet outside and returned her to her grateful petmom.

The fire was contained to an upstairs back bedroom, but smoke and fire damage affected most of the second floor and part of the first.

A second cat thought to be hiding was not immediately found.
