Ludo, a Maine Coon who lives in Wakefield, UK, is a really big cat. Maine Coons are known for their large size, but Ludo is much larger than your average Maine Coon. In fact, Ludo’s large size has earned him the title of the longest living domestic cat, and he’ll be featured in the 2017 Guinness Book of World Records.
Ludo measures a stunning 3 feet, 10.6 inches long. His owner, Kelsey Gill, got Ludo after she saw the Main Coon cats featured in the Harry Potter movies. When Ludo was just 13 weeks old, Gill noticed that he was as large as Maine Coons which were much older than him.
And still, Ludo continued to grow. He’s now so large that he has to use a dog carrier when Gill travels with him. But one advantage of having a big cat? Gill can always find him when she’s looking for him, since there are limited hiding spaces large enough to accommodate this huge Maine Coon.
He’s quite a loaner!
