Cat Rescue in Abu Dhabi Goes Viral

Five members of  Abu Dhabi Civil Defence showed an act of humanity in rescuing a tiny black kitten from the center shoulder of a highway that has the world talking.

Colonel Mohammad Abdul Jaleel Al Ansari, Director General of Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, told Gulf News, the operation room received a call about the kitten trapped on Shaikh Zayed Street (popularly known as Salam Street) on Thursday morning. A Civil Defence team in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Traffic Police blocked the road and rescued the kitten, he said in a press release issued by the Ministry of Interior. He said the Civil Defence always deals with such incidents seriously by upholding the humanitarian and animal welfare principles.

Millions have viewed the video and applaud the team who made the kind-hearted rescue.
