You may remember this handsome boy, Latka, who was with Paws Crossed in Elmore, NY. With his unique eye coloring, one blue and the other either green, yellow, or brown, and low grade heart murmur, this sweet senior boy was seeking a forever home.
Well, he h
as been in his forever home for two months and Crossed Paws Business Manager Julie Potter says that his new father “LOVES LOVES LOVES him!!!” In fact, this is what he said:
“Hard to believe I’ve had this guy for two months already. He’s doing great. Fur coming in nicely. He’s eating and drinking well (pooing & peeing well too) Getting spoiled… He’s very into swatting at his toy mice and feather toys. Likes laying on backpacks and hiding in open drawers and cabinets. Not so big on the scratch posts. Still purring a lot. He’s very vocal. Vocal to a fault. He likes to squeak at me.
He really loves to get the day started AKA wake me up around 4:45am every day. It’s a fun game we play. He always wins.
He’s a happy boy. Didn’t take him long to get comfortable! He’s napping on my couch as we speak.
Same name, but I switched him to ‘Latke.’ Figured he could turn a new leaf in the Bronx, but when he runs into old friends on the block they’ll still recognize him.
He’s loving life, and he couldn’t be a better addition. Probably the greatest cat on earth. (Minus the hours of 4am to 7am).”
What a fantastic success story and everyone, Paws Crossed, Latke’s new family, and certainly Latke, couldn’t be happier. Just one wonderful example why we should all ADOPT don’t SHOP when looking to bring a pet into the home.
