Bebe is a beautiful rescue kitten born with Manx Syndrome, a condition that most noticeably means he was born without a tail. However, Manx syndrome is a spinal defect that can also cause problems with the bowels.

Cats at the Studios of Culver City, California rescued Bebe from the Downey shelter, where he would likely have been put down, and is giving him the chance to lead a good life.

Bebe’s rescuers at first thought he might have lost his tail in an incident while he was living on the streets, but a trip to the vet determined that he had been born with Manx syndrome. Bebe will see a neurologist to determine if he needs surgery.

  1. MIGHT THE BELOW BE TRUE FOR BEBE? HAVE NOT FOUND A OPEN TAILESS CAT LIKE THIS. LOOKED OVER AND MY MANX HAS A STUMB. ADOPTED HER AT 9 MONTHS AND NOW SHE IS 2 ON APRIL 10. VERY JUMPY. ANYWHO, I HOPE THIS ARTICLE MIGHT HELP IN SOME WAY FOR BEBE? ALL 3 TAILS I’VE SEEN DO NOT LOOK LIKE THIS AT ALL. NO HEALING PROCESS? MY HEART BREAKS AND I CERTAINLY WOULD TAKE HER FOR MY ZOEY.
