When Laura Carrie needed to get her internet service provider’s attention, she turned to using cat pictures. Carrie’s broadband was supposed to be hooked up, but when five days passed without the service being connected, Carrie decided to take action.
But Carrie took a unique approach to getting the attention of Telstra’s customer service. She took photos of her cat, Kittie Smalls. Carrie posted the photos to Telstra’s Facebook page with captions about how much time she and Kittie Smalls had to spend together because the internet wasn’t hooked up and Carrie couldn’t work.
The first photo worked; Telstra responded and indicated that the issue had been elevated in importance. But after another week passed, Carrie posted another photo.
Again, Telstra responded, promising to connect the internet on Monday. Carrie and Kittie Smalls planned a party to celebrate the occasion, planning to watch Netflix.
But Telstra didn’t come through – the internet wasn’t connected, and Carrie posted a photo all about Kittie Smalls’ disappointment.
Finally, after 15 days without internet, Carrie introduced The Flee, her other cat to the photo posting customer service requests.
It seems that The Flee got the job done; Carrie’s internet has been connected.
