Lorna, cats do a lot of things when they are “play fighting” that look like real fighting. A cat usually fluffs up and hunches it’s back to appear larger and more scary when another animal threatens or appears to threaten it.
At me casa we call this “Getting sideways” because they cannot walk straight all bunched up like that. Misder will get all loud when he does it. Silly cats think they have to be the clowns in my circus……
