US Military Airmen James and Kat Hemlick added seriously injured kitty Mila to their family when James rescued her after she became seriously injured in the engine of a military vehicle at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina in June. Faced with mounting medical bills for the cat, who had to have a leg amputated, the couple told Mila’s story and set up a funds appeal at Indegogo.
Mila has thrived and the appeal raised the money needed for her care. Today, Mila’s story was covered on the local news.
We shared Mila’s story in Operation: Save Mila, on July 11. Visit that post for the full story, photos and home video of Mila.
Yay!! So happy to hear a good outcome.
God Bless them and those who take care of animals.
Love happy endings! Hope she has a long happy, healthy life.
YaY for the happy ending! Have a great life Mila!
