Action News reporter Sheldon Ingram took the station’s slogan literally today when he and a cameraman went to the scene of a cat in distress and he rescued the animal himself.
WTAE2 reporter Sheldon Ingram and crew went to the South Strabane PA home of Johanna Carr today for a feature on Ms. Carr’s cat Moo, who the family says had been stuck 40 ft. up a tree in a wooded area behind their home for 8 days without food or water. The fire department was called but declined to help because their trucks could not access the area.
A neighbor brought over a 2o foot ladder and up went Mr. Ingram. He was able to lure Moo down the final 15 feet beyond the ladder ith Moo’s favorite treats and all ended well.
We assume that greater Pittsburgh has had rain recently, so the cat could at least drink rainwater from the leaves.
