Champas had been in the shelter for over a year when the staff became determined to find him a forever home. However, the handsome white boy was incredibly shy. So, the team put him on reception duty, allowing him to become familiar little by little with the people coming in and out of the shelter, learning to love the rubs and loves, and understanding that people are good.

The sweet boy was finally adopted 435 days after being brought to the shelter and he and his new dad, Nathan, are very happy. Thanks to the creativity, thoughtfulness, and resourcefulness of Animal Welfare League (New South Wales, Australia) staff who saw how special Champas was, he has a very happily ever after tale.
