When callers notified dispatch there was a kitten on the median of Boston-area highway, it was Massachusetts State Police Trooper John DeNapoli who rolled up for the rescue. The 6-week-old kitten, panting and frothing at the mouth due to heat exhaustion, had cuts on his body, and was covered with ants. Had he not been rescued, Trooper, as the kitten has been named, might not have survived.
The pair was reunited at the Animal Rescue League’s Dedham Animal Care and Adoption Center, Trooper and Trooper together, again.
Thank you for saving this sweet love. It’s so nice to see that real humans still exist in today’s world.
Isn’t it wonderful? Stories like his are so heartwarming.
