Meet, Selene, a tiny rescue who was brought into a shelter with her mom at just a few days old.  Fortunately, the Cat Adoption Team located in Sherwood, OR, took them in with volunteer Shelby stepping up to foster.

Selene had some big challenges to overcome, including her mom, Muse, being so scared she lost interest in her kitten and stopped producing milk.  Later, after Muse had been cleaning the kitten, Shelby noticed a torn umbilical cord that appeared to not be healing. Hoping to encourage the bond between Muse and Selene, Shelby fashioned a tiny sweater out of a sock that provided warmth, comfort, and allowed the injury to repair.

Her foster mom,  shared on Instagram, FosterKittenLove, Selene was adopted in late September.  We wish Selene and her new family well and wonder if the Selene Sock will become a fashion statement in the future.selene 3
