Tiger the cat was brought back to life by veterinarian Noel Fitzpatrick and his medical support crew after the cat crashed on the operating table, going into cardiac arrest following surgery.
After other attempts to resuscitate Tiger failed, Dr. Fitzpatrick’s only option was to cut a hole in the cat’s chest and re-start his heart with his finger.
Dr. Fitzpatrick is most famous for his groundbreaking implant surgery that gave Oscar the Bionic Cat a new set of implanted prosthetic hind legs after the cat was accidentally injured by a piece of farm equipment.
The video from the scene in the operating room is from a new program, The Supervet, scheduled to air its first episode next week on Channel 4 in the UK. Hard-to-cure pets from across the country receive cutting-edge care from Noel Fitzpatrick, the ‘Bionic Vet’, and his crack veterinary team, in the new show.
