Shorty’s confused! She can’t figure out why black cats are considered bad luck, scary, and/or boring! She does some soul-searching and opens her eyes wide — very wide — to try to understand. Eventually, she comes to a conclusion.

In North America, generally, black cats have the lowest adoption rate of shelter cats. And during the month of October, the controversy arises amongst the shelter community: should we keep black cats from being adopted to protect them from being abused, misused or even tortured; or are the stories of cult or fear-driven acts of cruelty against black cats around Halloween a myth that further victimizes black cats?

Watch how Shorty, among the cutest and most relatable of internet cats (and Golden Kitty winner at the Internet Cat Film Fest!), puts all critics to shame!
