At just 3 months, Teton was already living up to the great heights of his name by using the stature of his fellow animals to advantage.  Somehow this little ginger fellow became the authority figure that no one dared question, not even his owners.  Joanna and Scott Shaw, of Snowfall Ranch, had a mouse problem and brought in a couple of little experts to handle the problem.  What they didn’t expect was that Teton would be willing to handle everyone, including them.  According to their website, “(Teton) would not stay in the cat area we wanted to have him contained in.  He ran into the stalls of our largest horse, Montana.  He really had no fear and became part of the family quickly.  He then took over.  He had a cat house, he had cat toys, cat food and a fluffy blanket to curl up under.  Instead he made his way to the miniature horse stall and slept with them. ”

In 2014, he made his first foray into celebrity when snowstorms found him using the transport of his four-legged companions to avoid direct contact with the white stuff, and, these days, continues, often riding around atop the miniature horses being trained as therapy animals.  Perhaps it is just Teton’s way of doing his small part to assist in their training.  He also rides the horses, goats, and a miniature donkey.  Joanna Shaw shared with The Dodo, “We do see him on the miniature horses and donkey the most.  He also sleeps in their stall with them.”
