The San Diego Humane Society and SPCA went the extra mile, make that hundreds of miles, when they sent a staffer to chaperone and hand deliver a precious bit of cargo today. Sophia the cat, who disappeared from her family in Arizona seven years ago, was turned in to the San Diego, California shelter last weekend by someone who had been caring for her. A microchip scan showed that she previously lived with Tricia Osterman, of Phoenix.

News crews were on hand today as Tricia waited at Sky Harbor airport, and finally saw her long lost cat for the first time in seven years.
