A group of storm chasers in Vilonia, Arkansas rescued a cat from tornado rubble last week while conducting a search and rescue mission for pets while a reporter from ABC affiliate 40 29 news was at the scene. The group has been helping out ever since the E-4 tornado hit the city on April 27. They’ve saved quite a few animals – including cats, dogs, guinea pigs, ferrets and even a baby bird.
The search and rescue crew knew the cat had been reported missing and planned to reunite her with her family immediately after the segment was filmed.
