With help from municipal workers, Dallas Animal Services staff saved a little starving kitten stuck down a drain in Dallas, Texas last week, on June 26.
Dallas Animal Services shared the story and pics from the rescue at Facebook last Friday, writing:
Kitten Rescue – What a Cutie!
Kitten Rescue! We got a call for a kitten stuck in a storm drain, frantically crying for help. Officer Oliver responded, and with backup from Officer Castillo (she’s done this a few times before) and an assist from the Streets Department to unlock the heavy sewer cover, they were able to save the starving kitten. Once back at DAS, Dr. Betten and her staff examined the kitten, and got her fed and settled in. They’re monitoring her in the vet clinic this morning, but she seems to be doing great.
