With Pokemon Go! being THE go-to game right now, many animal shelters are taking advantage of the game’s popularity and are using it to drive adoptions. The Pasadena Humane Society recently created a “Kitten Go!” event to encourage the adoption of its many resident kittens.
Kitten Go! is driven by creativity. More than 60 kittens were given Pokemon names, and the shelter even created trading cards for each kitten so that visitors could “collect ’em all.” Kittens were assigned special powers like “purr” and “cat nap.”
For Pokemon Go! players, they can capture a few actual Pokemon that are located within the shelter. And for cat lovers, adoption fees were lowered to $15 for one cat and $25 for two during the Kitten Go! event, which took place this weekend.
Be sure to check out all of the awesome kittens and their Pokemon cards on the Pasadena Humane Society’s Facebook page.
