The San Diego Humane Society maintains a kitten nursery in its efforts to save lives and find animals homes. The society also helps area pet guardians having limited incomes with food, and has set a goal to spay/neuter 5,000 cats and dogs that might otherwise not have had their surgeries by next summer. The organization’s long term goal is to humanely reduce the number of homeless pets.
