A kitten in Jacksonville, Florida was rescued from a car’s engine compartment and got a new name in honor of the mechanic who brought him (or her) to safety.
Angie Fox heard the kitten in the engine of her car and sought help from White’s Automotive, a local garage. Mechanic Rusty Newton arrived at the scene, jacked up the car and made the rescue.
“We will name it, boy or girl, Rusty,” Ms. Fox said.
The kitten was hiding between the exhaust manifold and the fire wall.
“Just had to reach up over the rack and the pinion and pull him out,” Newton said.
