Togetherness isn’t a pose for this family, it’s way of life. Behind this pretty picture is a loving, fur-real clan made of up rescued animals. Mia the tailless cat came from Stray Haven Cat Rescue, according to Bark Post. She loves to camp and cuddle with her canine siblings, Pit Bulls Jake and Rosie, Fox Terrier Roxy and Edith, a Rat Terrier Italian Greyhound mix. The adorable posse includes two ducks, Gertrude and Donald. They are often seen in matching outfits and have 38,000 followers on Instagram.
This blended family was brought together by Kasey Boggs and her husband Blake of Missouri. The Boggs are animal rescuers, according to Bark Post and Metro. It all started with Roxy the Toy Fox Terrier whom Kasey saved from a pet shop that sold dogs bred in puppy mills.
According to Bark Post, Kasey nursed the sick pup back to health and eventually managed to get the shop shut down for selling unhealthy animals with forged records. Way to go Kasey!
Jake spent much of his life locked up in a crate and Rosie was rescued from a St. Louis neighborhood where police shot street Pit Bulls on sight, according to Bark Post.
Now they run free and celebrate holidays together, as seen in this Fourth of July shot taken after a hike.
Sometimes they just like to chill or nap together.
Thanks Kasey and Blake for rescuing these wonderful animals and inspiring the rest of us. Please keep the pictures coming.
