Animal Hospital of Oshkosh on Facebook posted another video today showing Bernice burned kitty – make that Bernice, magnificently healed kitty – up and playing with a toy sent by an admirer, as she waits for her recent skin graft to “take”. Her leg is wrapped to protect the area of the graft.
What an amazing trans formation from the injured cat taken to AHO last summer; staff were not sure she would live to recover. Just look at her now! ‘Way to go Miss B. Bernice’s supremely capable and compassionate caretakers give credit and thanks to her many supporters and well-wishers for their continued good thoughts.
Here she is.
You go, Bernice! It’s great to see you so happy and playing. I continue to pray for your recovery! Love you!!
LOOKING GOOD BERNICE. I’M PRAYING FOR YOU SWEETIE. GOD BLESS YOU AND TAKE CARE. YOU’RE ONE BEAUTIFUL CAT.
its those little catnip mice! I bought two packets for my 8 year old girl and she is so funny with them. she takes them up and down the stairs everyday meowing while they are in her mouth. then she takes time to bat them about. it is hilarious! one day I said to her “where are your babies?” she wandered off and came back with the packet that hadnt been opened yet with all three in there! hahahaha I have since stored them away….they are from SmartyKat i bought them at Target…she loves them to death!!! she keeps them in a little group all the time. hehe!
Way to go Bernice! It makes me happy that you’re continuing to heal and recover.
Love Bernice, doesnt she look great!! She certainly hasnt lost any of her enthusiasm doesnt she act just like any other cat what a great thing to see.Love you heaps B.
What happened to this poor little one?
Micky, Bernice was found on the street in Oshkosh WI one day last summer, with severe burns. It is not know how she got the burns, but it is suspected that someone burned her. There were no fires reported to the FD in the neighborhood that day.
OMG, i will NEVER be able to understand, how someone can be so cruel to harm an animal and do something like this on purpose, never, ever!!! Will she get adopted when she’s ready for it?
