Chris Boyles and his family decided a few months ago that their cat Otto would be better off living with a family on a farm. Otto was placed in the garage at his new home as Hurricane Sandy approached, and when he was let out after the storm he ran away and never came back.

Recently, someone found Otto and took him to the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society in Springfield, MA. After a microchip scan, adoption counselor Amelia Wendell worked to get the cat back to his original family.

Chris Boyles drove from Calvert County Maryland today to pick Otto up and take him home. The Boyles say they’re glad to have him back with them again.
