Oskar the Blind Kitten became a video sensation when his Cat vs Hairdryer video went viral last month. Here’s an earlier look at Oskar, made when he was a very young kitten. It’s not funny like the incredible hairdryer video; it’s just a sweet look at a blind baby adopted into a loving home, and getting his first toys.
His pet parent and video maker writes:
“Some of you asked for more Oskar videos, so here we go….. I took this video the day after we adopted him. Since he is completely blind (born without formed eyeballs) we gave him some balls with bells inside. As you can tell, he can “see” them by using his ears! He is such a happy and inspiring cat — we are blessed to have him with us.”
This brought tears to my eyes! It is so sweet! God has truly blessed Oskar with a loving home and blessed his family as well, with such a special kitty!!

Oh how cute. I am so glad that Oskar has a loving family. He is safe and well cared for. That is what it is all about in the end- a place to call home!
Bless you Oskar’s humans! You and the small percentage of people like you are the only thing that gives me any hope for humanity. What a surprise that he wasn’t put down at birth because he wasn’t anatomically “perfect”. Is there a story behind that? He is soo beautiful and seems very smart.

Wow, what a truly incredible and cool video. The great thing is that if someone didn’t know that Oskar was born blind, a good portion of that video looks like a normal kitten playing with his toys.
