Oliver’s Search for a Final Home

OliverOliver is a beautiful, sweet natured cat who remains hopeful that he will find a perfect home to spend the rest of his life in. He was mourning his last family, who could no longer care for him due to their declining health, which was devastating to everyone involved. Oliver lived his entire life with the family and their dog, making it very hard on everyone to part. However, he is now ready to find a home once again.

Unfortunately, despite his sweet disposition, Oliver has three things that are not working in his favor: he is a black cat; he is nearly 15 years old; and he is obese, though this is being addressed.  Despite his weight and age, though, Oliver is in great shape!  He is an affectionate and funny cat that adores people but also enjoys quiet time.

He loves to sit on the screened in porch and watch the birds play and the world go around. He also loves to nap, especially when he can find a cozy little nook. He also enjoys children and dogs and is a 100% indoor cat.

Oliver is very well trained with great litter box habits and a healthy appetite. He also is up to date on vaccines and is neutered.

Most importantly, Oliver loves to be loved. He enjoys having his cute little nose rubbed and to receive lots of affection. Oliver 2

Oliver is currently in a foster home in Reading, MA, where you can meet him after filling out a Cat Adoption Profile at Black Cat Rescue.

Black Cat Rescue is a no-kill cat rescue organization located in Boston, MA. Their main focus is helping black cats get adopted due to their lower chances at finding a home in comparison to other cats (half as likely). Black Cat Rescue is working to change these odds. They have a network of foster homes dedicated to saving the lives of homeless black cats and kittens by providing temporary homes while actively seeking loving, permanent adoptive homes.

They also work to improve the image of black cats and animal adoption. They receive cats from all over Massachusetts and they accept both owner surrenders and strays directly off the streets or from local shelters/rescue organizations.
