robbie pic (2)Robbie was found at only six weeks old, trying to survive the streets while battling an abnormality that later turned out to be an injury to the growth plate of his left rear leg. If he had remained on the streets, he would have likely not lived a very long life.

Thankfully, he was rescued and brought to the Cat Welfare Association, a dedicated rescue organization in the Columbus, Ohio area. Once he arrived, he immediately received a couple of pins in his leg to assist in the healing process.

He was also placed in a foster home where he could recover and receive a lot of TLC. For a while, Robbie was not able to meet other furry companions, as the vet had not given their approval.

Finally, Robbie was given the opportunity to socialize with other pets and he met his foster siblings. He found his kitty siblings to be okay, but his favorite has been the dog, who has unexpectedly won Robbie’s loyalty! Who would have expected it?

Robbie is now a well healed, neutered teen kitty full of curiosity and affection. He is looking for a forever home so that he can begin the next chapter of his life!

The Cat Welfare Association was founded in 1945 by a small group of people who saw the need for an organization designed specifically to help the many stray and abused cats in the Columbus area. They are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose objective has always been to promote better care and understanding of cats while providing for the physical welfare of homeless cats and kittens. They strive to find each cat an appropriate, safe and loving home, allowing those not placed to live their lives in the care and comfort of their shelter.
