Savannah, GA TV station WSAV3’s On Your Side feature made things happen when James Arnsdorff was unable to get help for his cat Cliff, who sat frightened and traumatized for three days amongst live wires atop a utility pole.
Cliff and his sibling, indoor cats, escaped their home and were chased by a pack of dogs. Cliff was the luckier of the two cats, saving himself by running up the pole.
James called the City, the Fire Department, Animal Control and Georgia Power, to no avail. A tree service agreed to come out but was unable to work around the wires.
Finally, on Wednesday, James contacted On Your Side and reporter Meredith Ley came out to the scene. Within a few minutes of Meredith’s call to Georgia Power, a ulitity crew was on the scene and making the rescue. The frightened cat struggled a bit but was safely rescued.
James expressed his gratitude to both the utility workers and WSAV.
