This family of cats was abandoned in a cardboard box on the side of the road! One of the kittens was busily trying to open the box lid and ended up putting its little paw through a hole in the top. A driver, just passing by, saw something waving out of the box and pulled over. When he opened the box, five furry faces looked up… and saw their savior!
Mama and her playful kittens are in the care of Helen Woodward Animal Center now. Helen Woodward Animal Center is located in Rancho Santa Fe, CA, just north of San Diego.
