Louisville Kentucky’s Metro Animal Services performed an unusual rescue.
A four month old kitten was found with his head stuck in a soup can and brought to the MAS veterinary staff by an animal control officer. Attempts to simply pull the can off the kitten’s head were unsuccessful. He was sedated and a technician removed the can with bolt cutters. The kitten was also treated for hypothermia. Campbell, as the kitten is now aptly named, is up for adoption at the Animal House Adoption Center. In a press release, Jackie Gulbe, Animal Services assistant director for community relations said, “Our staff did a great job rescuing this little guy from what could have been a ‘can-tast-rophe.”
Mmm Mmm Good!
