Merry Christmas everyone! It’s me, Bernice, letting you know I am super happy and living the good life. I am very playful and love having many toys to play with. Thanks to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society and Animal Hospital of Oshkosh I have my story book ending. I asked Santa for the same for all my feline friends still waiting for new home. Please adopt a cat or kitten if you can. Happy New Year! Love, Bernice

Bernice, as many know, was given a second chance at life by staff at the Animal Hospital of Oshkosh, in Oshkosh, WI, after she was found with severe burns over most of her body in July of 2011. Bernice’s doctors were not sure she would recover, but they were touched by her beautiful spirit and her will to live, and decided to giver her a chance. Bernice gained thousands of friends and supporters worldwide as her recovery was chronicled by the Animal Hospital of Oshkosh, mostly through Facebook. Bernice made a remarkable recovery and retired from the spotlight in June 2012, after going to live with her adopters. Bernice divides her time between two homes; she lives with Dr. Becky Bosetski and vet tech Dyan Meulemans, both of whom developed close loving relationships with the cat during her long period of recovery.
