Nine-month-old Chloe was a stray who wandered around Millersville, Maryland. But Chloe was also pregnant – very pregnant. Luckily for this young cat, a citizen brought her to the Anne Arundel County Animal Control.

At the shelter, Chloe quickly got the care that she needed. Shelter staff worked quickly to find Chloe a foster home. Staying in the shelter after she’d had her kittens could subject the kittens to potential illnesses. Chloe was friendly and laid-back during her stay at the shelter, and she even mastered the art of walking on a leash.

On August 9th, Chloe gave birth to her five kittens. She and her kittens went to a foster home two days later, where they will be raised until the kittens are old enough to be weaned. At that point, Chloe and her kittens will be put up for adoption.

Thanks to the fast work and networking of the shelter, this story has a happy ending, and Chloe and her five kittens are doing just fine.
