A mama dog at a NYC shelter has adopted a little black motherless kitten into her litter of pups. The sweetly bonded family is at Animal Haven, in SoHo.
Animal Haven wrote about the kitten and her doggie Mama at Facebook on May 28, saying:
“Just about three weeks ago, a Maltese named Coco gave birth to a (surprise) litter of puppies at the shelter. She is a wonderful mother and her puppies are healthy and strong. So when an orphaned kitten named Roadhouse was brought to the shelter, Coco was more than happy to welcome her into the “family.” The puppies and Roadhouse have formed a beautiful bond and Coco even lets Roadhouse nurse right alongside them.”

(Note: People have asked about the puppy who is lying apart from the rest, in the video, and is not moving. He is fine, and was merely sleeping at the time.)
