This past Sunday evening, Lucy Duff’s cat, Lucky, escaped from her cat carrier while Duff was waiting at the Green Park London Underground station. Lucky disappeared, and Duff feared that she would never see her cat again.

Duff was allowed to accompany the search party for Lucky into the tunnel at 1 am three days after Lucky’s disappearance, and rescuers were hopeful that Lucky would recognize Duff’s voice. However, the search proved futile; no cat was found. Duff stood on the platform, calling for Lucky for hours. The chances that Lucky had been run over by a passing train were high.

But just two hours later, the search team found Lucky, who was hunting a cat at the time. Lucky is dirty and tired, but she is now safe at home with Duff, who is grateful for the efforts that were put in place to find her cat.

Lucky’s survival is nothing short of a miracle, given how busy the station is and how many chances there were for her to be injured. We’re glad to hear that this story has a happy ending.
