Kitty Cate: One Very Special Mama

Readers of Life With Cats may recall the video shared about Kitty Cate and her sleepy kittens, an example of how adorable feline has a way with her brood that is simply captivating.

Kitty Cate was a rescue to the Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association (VOKRA) placed with The Kit Cats who fostered the cat and her litter.  Along the way, the foster family captured a series of videos showing the little clan, gathering a following and raising a awareness about the importance of rescuing and fostering animals.

Fostering is such a critical part of the rescue process, allowing animals to be socialized and readied for adoption. To all the foster families out there, we thank you for the good and important work you do.

This is what The Kit Cats shared when it was time to say good-bye to the precious family.

Today we say goodbye to our VOKRA foster cat Cate as she heads off to her forever home. Cate was a great mum to her 6 kittens, patient, loving, dedicated and this footage from when the kittens were about 7 weeks old really shows the great rapport she had with them.
We wish Cate and her new cat butler Shaun a great life together and we would like to once again thank the Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Assoc. (VOKRA) for bringing Cate and her 6 beautiful kittens into our lives.

Goodbye sweet Cate, we will always love you.

SPECIAL UPDATE! Kitty Cate is now named Ebony. Follow this beautiful girl on her Facebook page, Ebony the Cat.
