A Miami-Dade Police Lieutenant found an unexpected surprise in his police car this past Monday. When the officer went out to his car in the morning, he heard a kitten crying. Upon further investigation, he discovered a small black kitten stuck within the front grille of his car.
Luckily for the kitten, the officer took his car to the MDPD Fleet Management’s Internal Services Department. A technician opened the hood and was able to safely remove the kitten.
No one knows quite how the kitten got there, but the officers named her Pikachu and gave him food and water once back at the headquarters. Then, Pikachu was taken to the Miami-Dade Animal Services Pet Adoption and Protection Center. She’ll be put up for adoption and will hopefully find her forever home.
