A kitten who escaped a fire at her home has been reunited with her family.

Mojo was last seen running from her burning home in Evesham, UK, in the West Midlands, when a major fire broke out there in the wee hours of September 10.

Petmom Susan Johns and her ex-husband Johnny sent out a public appeal for help in finding Mojo but they didn’t think they would ever see her again. Much to her surprise, Susan got a phone call last Thursday from a woman in Lower Leys who said a kitten fitting Mojo’s description was living in her garden.

“Our first thought was not to get too excited because it may not have been Mojo,” Susan told the Worcester News for their story on Mojo’s homecoming.

“But we went along to check and we were so happy to see it was. Mojo was skinny because she had had to fend for herself for a while, but neighbours had been leaving milk out for her. She was found only round the corner from Johnny’s house. Mojo’s paws were also burned, but not too badly.

“She’s now back home with her companion, an older cat who was rescued from the fire, and they are so happy to be back together.”
