Ace was hit by a car when he was about six weeks old. The veterinarian to whom he was taken recognized he had a crooked front paw and issue with his back hip and leg, but shared that wasn’t his biggest problem. Ace had a heart defect.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
They wanted to amputate his leg, but the rescuer, not wanting that to happen, took the kitten and dropped him off to Cheri, Cats at the Studios, who agreed to foster him for one night. But there was something about this kitten that was different, something that touched Cheri’s heart. She became determined he would get the surgery he needed, it became a mission for her.

Going to another vet, the prognosis was the same. It was Ace’s enlarged heart with a hole in it that was the problem. Cheri remembers crying upon hearing there was nothing to be done. She wanted him to know he was wanted and loved, even if his time were to be short. She and her husband adopted the kitten.

And Ace’s story doesn’t stop there. He has become a caretaker for other fosters, showing them the ropes. As to Cheri, she says she feels like she has found a soulmate in Ace. Truly a happy ending for them both.

What an awesome story! I used to sit at my computer and watch my cat (her name is Baby) and wonder to myself “Am I crazy? Are there others in the world who love their cats like I do?” I’m so filled with joy when I watch a story like the one about you & Ace. He is surely on awesome Cat!
