Children playing outside in West Park Florida on Saturday heard mewing from a narrow metal pipe and got help to save a newborn kitten’s life. They called the humane society, and firefighters came to the rescue.

After cutting the pipe to free the newborn kitten, firefighters took it to the fire station for feeding. It is now in the care of the Broward County Humane Society. The news feature does not say what has become of Mama cat and her other babies, or if they have a home.
