Joplin Humane Society, the shelter organization at the center of pet rescue and care in the aftermath of the terrible tornado that devastated the city on Sunday, May 22, is entered to win 15,000 in a contest.

While there are deserving shelters everywhere, JHS is currently running a big crisis management operation in the face of a great natural disaster. A win here would assist with the massive effort.

The contest is the ASPCA’s Adopt A Pet America’s Favorite Shelter Contest. You can click for the link to the Care2 voting page for JHS if you want to give them your vote.

If you choose to vote for JHS, or another shelter, remember to check your email to confirm your vote.

Here is a video made by Missouri resident Mallory Evans to inform and encourage people to vote for JHS.
