Milly said that King, who is tagged, can sometimes go missing for a day or two and then come back when he is hungry. Mostly, Milly says she can find him on the beach.
“I find it a bit strange because most cats are scared of water but there’s a lot of it here,” Milly told Adelaidnow.com. “Normally, if we’re here with him, a lot of people come and ask if we can pat your cat – it’s just so funny.”
He does spend some time at home with Milly and the family pooch.
Brighton Jetty Bakery co-owner Dahlia Makkar says King is well known around Brighton. “He’s a bit of a character – everyone is cat-friendly here,” Makkar said.
Brighton Beach is known for its colorful bathing huts. If you can’t go anytime soon to meet King in cat-person, you can check in on him online. King has his own Facebook page at facebook.com/kingthebeachcat.
