She was going to be euthanized because of her crooked leg, but her beautiful face saved her. Here’s her story.
Reddit user Avridt adopted this little beauty and shared her photo on Reddit with this request: “Help me name this crooked legged kitty.”
“The sad part is she was going to be euthanized because of being surrendered to an overcrowded shelter with a bad leg,” explained Avridt on her Reddit post. “Her front leg was broken and left untreated by her previous owner. It was an elderly woman who wound up in a nursing home, so the rescue suspected it was an accident that went unnoticed because of the owner’s health rather than deliberate abuse. So her front leg is crooked, but it doesn’t slow her down at all.”
“She’s a sweet, shy little kitty who found her home and just needs a name now. I prefer art related names but am open to anything. My other cat is Indigo as in the pigment and my dog is Rembrandt to give you an idea.”
Posters had some clever monikers to share: Mona Lisa and Georgia O’Kitten were suggested as well as Azure and Sapphire for her blue eyes.
In case you are wondering, Avridt is planning on taking this little girl to a veterinarian to see if anything can be done about her leg.
