It seems that kittens get stuck in storm drains all the time. This rescue story is extra nice because a good Samaritan stopped to help the Good Samaritans trying to free him.
Three ladies leaving work in midtown Savannah, Georgia one day earlier this week heard a kitten crying from a storm drain and tried to free him. They were unable to lift a heavy metal grate and struggled to bring the kitten up with towels. A man driving by came to their aid and the kitten was saved.
