You hear it every day. Every donation, no matter how small, helps homeless cats and dogs. So when a little girl named Josie donated her allowance, the Bonnie Hays Animal Shelter presented her with a certificate and posted this charming photo on the shelter’s Facebook page.
Here’s the post: “This young lady, Josie, saved up her allowance to donate the the animals!! Even small donations from small donors have a big impact on us.” “Wow! What a generous young lady,” said Patti Smith in a follow-up comment. Josie’s generosity warmed the heart of volunteer Stacie Roth, who had this to say: “Thank you Josie for your donation. I know the cats, dogs and other animals that come into our shelter will appreciate it too.” We couldn’t agree more. Here’s a kitten named Scotty who found a home with help from Bonnie Hays.
