Frosty got a lot attention and interest when his story made the news a couple of months ago, during an especially cold and snowy winter, when he was rescued by a woman who found him covered in ice and frozen to the ground by the side of the road in Elyria, OH. He was rushed to the Friendship Animal Protective League in Elyria by the good Samaritan, who said she initially thought she’d seen a dirty clump of ice but got a “weird sense” and took a closer look, then discovered the kitten.
Frosty was warmed up and treated for a respiratory infection at FAPL, then his cold-related issues were addressed as they became known. Frosty was treated for frostbite, skin infections, and conjunctivitis during his recovery.
We shared Frosty’s story on the day he was found, in Frosty: Kitten Found Frozen to the Ground Gets Help.
After a healing process that included a tail amputation and FAPL announced at Facebook on April 11 that Frosty was finally ready for adoption, but it seemed that everyone who had clamored for him in February had forgotten him or lost interest. He headed to WKYC TV yesterday for an Adopt-A-Pet segment letting the public know he was healed and looking for a home.
A couple came forward and Frosty went home with his new family yesterday. FAPL wrote at Facebook, saying: “The nicest family came in today and gave Frosty his forever home! Thank you for giving him a wonderful and warm place to call his own!”

Love this story. Keep it up! I always wondered about Frosty.
