From Japan with Love: A Video Diary of a Month with a Rescued Kitten

Here is the English language version of a touching video diary that tells the story of Niko, a weak and sickly rescue kitten, during the month it took her to recover from conjunctivitis, to blossom and to find the perfect home.

The original story was uploaded to YouTube in November of 2011 and has well over half a million views. This English language version was made a year later, in November of 2012. The footage is identical but the superimposed text has been changed to the English translation.

The kind man who rescued Niko, cared for her and tells the story writes:

This is a record of the kitten I rescued. When I found her both her eyes were badly inflamed by conjunctivitis. I took her home, nursed her back to health and found a home for her. This video was originally posted in Japanese and was intended to show the couple that adopted Niko her progress in the month we spent together, but I’m truly touched that it’s brought such pleasure to so many people. It’s been a year since the events shown here took place so I’ve decided to post an English version of the video. Thanks to my friend, Amanda, for the translation.
